Photography has been a passion all my life. Since the tender age of 10, I've been given the chance to expose myself to the world of photography. But not really putting much effort into excelling this passion I've had, I've to wait till I was 22 to rekindle the love with photography.
I started shooting seriously when I got my Canon EOS 30 (the one with eye control). It was amazing how the sensor could trace your eye pupil as you follow your subject using the view-finder in the camera.
Subsequently, I got myself a Canon EOS 3 and I must say it is one of the BEST cameras in its class. Great versatility, great speed, and not to mention a sturdy & dependable camera. I shot the NDP '03 with this reliable "companion".
I'm presently using the Canon 20D and 10D. I was covering shoots at the NDP 2000 - 2006 and it will be the last year at the National Stadium, before they draw the curtains down and rebuild the new Sports Hub.
I've also managed to get involved with Singapore's pioneer fire-twirling group, the FIRELYS. They've done many performances at various company functions, National events and private functions. Great bunch of flies. Do check out their site. And recently, the Fireflys led a i
nternational casts of other fire twirlers to Singapore for the Bornfire Festival 2007 at the Esplanade.
As for videography, I was much inspired by action movies like Star Wars. I have been actively filming for my previous army units during their exercises and other activities. But wedding videography started when I agreed to help my friend's uncle at his wedding, back in 1995. And I have since worked with plenty of couples, during the past 10 years. Its a pleasure to feel my clients shaked my hands with real feelings. That is the difference of a good and great job. And I've always strived to achieve that.
Many couples who wants to plan for a wedding usually neglects the importance of engaging a professional videographer. It would be alright to ask your brother, sister, friends, or relatives to do the chore. But at the end of it, the "videographer" may not be filming at the correct angle. Or worst, he misses an important procession of your wedding. Thus, I've always placed my experiences and knowledge into good use with my clients.
I've enjoyed photography & videography more than treating it just as a routine work. And I would like to say I'm passionate about my works, because photography & videography is not just work for me, its a PASSION. And passion don't just fades... Of cos, I've also learned to "add" fuel to my passion by upgrading new softwares, like the Sony Vegas video editing suite.
Thank you for taking time to understand alittle more about me. Do feel free to drop me a mail should you require any enquires on my services. Oh... and I'm also the unofficial photographer for a local amatuer soccer league. Check out ESPZEN, I'd dare say they are the BEST amatuer soccer league organiser in Singapore.
Looking forward to making your wedding (or ROM) or company function an eventful and memorable one.
And remember, "There are no bad photographers, just bad photographs".
